To mark my retirement on my last official work day!
The semi-colon, in contrast to the period used to denote the end of a sentence, marks a choice to continue in this life. It is a symbol used by depression survivors (projectsemicolon.org) who have decided to keep on keeping on.
I wear it to celebrate the great gift of joy that I have received while living with depression. And to remind everyone that joy is possible for them too, that hope is alive, and that the possibilities are open even for those battling depression and anxiety.
oh my GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you did it!!!
when??
and it’s perfectly YOU!!!!
can’t wait to see it for real………….. and the colour 😉

Congratulations on your retirement! What a beautiful sentiment to commemorate the turning of a page and a constant reminder that joy is always available to us when we seek it – sometimes it just take a bit more digging than other times!!! You are an inspiration!

Thank you Cheryl. For me, joy is something for which I worked hard to obtain. And now that I know it, I will fight to keep it! There’s nothing else like It!
