Made the treck into Toronto yesterday to visit IKEA – hadn’t been in at least a decade – and came back with a few items to help organize The Sewing Studio. But what I am most excited about is the area rug!! How could I NOT buy it, right? It cozyfies the space perfectly. Ahhh… This is where I “work”!
Here’s my graphic designer — yes, she’s mine — modeling one of my pieces that is really meant for a taller woman, as I suspected. It looked great on her even in a size or two too large, and not nearly so pretty on me at 5’3″. (Thank you, Mary from Beechwood Design. You are a good sport!)
Also, the tunic looks way better on a model than a hanger, which is why there is no photo here… how vain, eh?!
Some of the tops carry embellisments, when they call for it.
I wonder what Kenneth Cole would say about my hacking away at one of his creations (which started it’s life as a long-sleeved shirt for men) to be transformed into a women’s tunic like this?! hee hee 🙂
It’s all play!
